How To Help

Give GIPS

It all adds up! Since we started this campaign in 2004, GIPS staff has given $919,503 to our GIPS Foundation to invest in students.
For every dollar you have invested, our Foundation has added $27.13 to bring the total benefit to students up to $25,874,178!

Give GIPS Week

For one week only, the GIPS Foundation is extending the staff campaign out to the community. Teachers and staff of the Grand Island Public Schools continued to reach into their own pocketbooks and since April 21, they have given more than $80,000 to ensure that the GIPS Foundation can continue to invest in the success of our students in the year ahead. The message was, “I give HOPE. I give GIPS. We are better, stronger TOGETHER.” Donors can give online by clicking the donate button. All levels of giving are accepted. Those who give $60 or more are eligible for the same t-shirt as GIPS staff with the “I give hope” message. You can share your solidarity and appreciation by making your gift today!

Virtual Campaign.
New Reality.
Same Commitment to Students.

A note from your co-chairs:
COVID-19 creates new reality for everything. We are so proud of how our GIPS family has responded and risen up to be the shining light in this current darkness. Our partner the GIPS Foundation has walked alongside us. They have continued to work hard for students, awarding scholarships and funding programs. The Foundation has also opened a Better & Stronger Together Emergency Fund to help meet the needs during and after this crisis. Together we will emerge stronger on the other side, but we need your help! We are determined that this crisis will not rob future opportunities for our students. We invite you to participate in our virtual staff campaign to show our support of our students. Our GIPS Foundation has committed to adding a portion of each gift to the Emergency Fund as well as the normal opportunities that we invest in.

We give HOPE. We give GIPS. We are better, stronger, TOGETHER!

Qualsett Challenge Gift

YOU make the difference!

Orv and Mary Qualsett have a deep connection to our Grand Island Public Schools. Orv spent several years with us at GISH as a teacher and coach prior to going into banking.  Education was always close to his heart. They raised their children, Bart and Kapra, in Grand Island and both are graduates of Grand Island Senior High. Orv and Mary are proud of our schools and our staff for their commitment to the caring relationships that invest in students and their achievement. In this time of trial in our world, and in memory of his wife Mary, Orv has pledged up to $5,000 to match all new and increased gifts from our staff heroes. Make your gift count twice for students with this challenge!
