How To Help

Legacy Society & Planned Giving

Sharing your assets.

Sharing your values.

The Purple and Gold Legacy Society was created to honor donors who have established a deferred gift for the students of Grand Island Public Schools that will be received by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation at a future date or upon the death of the donor.

Deferred gifts, or planned gifts, take the form of bequests, life estates, insurance policies, annuities, gifts of real estate, gifts of retirement or bank accounts, gifts in Trust, etc. This type of giving can be personalized to each giver’s needs in life, and after. It is an excellent (and often uncomplicated) way to continue to support additional opportunities for our students. When you make a legacy gift, you not only share your physical assets, but you also share your values with generations to come. A legacy gift is your lasting footprint on your school and community.

The Grand Island Public Schools Foundation invites all donors who have included the students of Grand Island Public Schools in their estate planning to be a part of the Purple and Gold Legacy Society. Members of the Purple and Gold Legacy Society will be recognized in publications and virtual media of the Foundation. You may choose to remain anonymous in your philanthropy with the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation. However, participation in the Purple and Gold Legacy Society will encourage others to think about their own footprint, their own legacy. Your participation will inspire others to invest in opportunities for students.

Your legacy is their opportunity.
