Mae T. Clark Scholarship

Scholarship Essay Required

The Mae T. Clark scholarship foundation will offer one scholarship for the amount of interest accrued by the Principal in the scholarship fund. The scholarship will not be less than $200. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage capable students entering vocations where opportunity currently prevails and to aid students who are chiefly dependent on their own efforts to further their education beyond high school.

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
  • Must have attended the majority of elementary education a Lincoln Elementary
  • Must have spent 5th grade at Lincoln Elementary
  • Must possess attributes evidencing potential in the selected vocation

Essay Question

  • Write a statement about your reasons for entering your chosen profession or vocation. (Max 500 words)

Selection Procedure

  • Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.

Terms of Payment

  • The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.

Claim Scholarship

  • The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
