Scholarships

Through the generosity of many donors, the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation has been providing scholarships for graduates of Grand Island Senior high School since 1983. The Academic Aristocrat Scholarship program offers scholarships for qualifying students who graduate Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude of their class at Grand Island Senior High.

Eligibility

• Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
• Family wants to fund students that have greatest financial need within those ranked Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude of the graduating class
• Student needs to demonstrate good work ethic
• Student needs to demonstrate good character and citizenship
• Preference given to students who will attend Nebraska Schools

Selection Procedure

• Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.

Terms of Payment

• The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.

Claim Scholarship

• The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
