Home Federal Bank Scholarship (2)

Each year, Home Federal Bank awards a scholarship for the Grand Island Senior High Scholarship Program. This scholarship is intended for a student who plans to attend a public Nebraska trade school or University, planning on pursuing a major in business, finance or accounting.

Amount and Terms

  • $500 x 1 year

Number of Scholarships

  • Up to 2

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
  • Must have attended Grand Island Senior High for at least 3 years
  • Must be a resident of Hall County for at least 3 years
  • Must be ranked Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude of the graduating class
  • Applicant cannot be an employee of Home Federal Bank nor of any other Grand Island financial institution
  • Applicant’s parents cannot be an employee of Home Federal Bank nor of any other Grand Island financial institution
  • Must attend a public Nebraska trade school or University.  Examples: Central Community College, Southeast Community College, University of Nebraska, Peru State College, Wayne State College, etc.
  • Must major in Business, Finance or Accounting

Selection Procedure

  • Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.

Terms of Payment

  • The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.

Claim Scholarship

  • The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
