Grand Island Senior High Band Scholarship (2)

The Grand Island Senior High Band is a 200+ member musical organization that is very active in the community and around the state with three concert ensembles, two jazz ensembles, marching band, pep band and numerous smaller ensemble performances throughout the year. This 9-12th grade band has received numerous top awards and honors on the street, field and stage.

  • $1,000 x 1 year

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
  • Must be a current Islander Band member
  • Must major or minor in Music or participate in a college instrumental music ensemble

Answer several brief questions about your band experience.

  • How has your participation contributed to the GISH Band?
  • How has being a member of the GISH Band influenced you?
  • In what way(s) do you think music will be part of your future?

Selection Procedure

  • Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.

Terms of Payment

  • The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.

Claim Scholarship

  • The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms. Send proof of enrollment to Kari Price via email to kprice@gips.org, in person at GIPS Administration Building (123 South Webb Road) or via mail to PO Box 4904, Grand Island, NE 68802.
