Steve Jardine Memorial Scholarship (2)

Scholarship Essay Required

Steve Jardine was a life-time Grand Islander and an avid golfer. He was a state champion golfer and 4-year letter winner at Grand Island Northwest. He played golf in college and continued to play throughout his short life. All golfers have “golf stories” and Steve was no exception. He scored three holes-in-one.  One of them was in a terrible round of golf, and those who witnessed it share that he said, “you’re about to see something special,” and then proceeded to the tee and got a hole-in-one. He finished with “all it takes is one swing.” Though Steve and his wife Deb were Grand Island Northwest graduates, his parents, Keith and Pam, and his children, Jaden, Brooke and Jordan all graduated from Grand Island Senior High.  The Jardine family seeks to honor Steve’s memory by offering this annual scholarship to a student from both Grand Island Northwest and Grand Island Senior High who also shares Steve’s passion for golf.
