Marilyn Huebner Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Essay Required
Marilyn Huebner taught at Grand Island Senior High for more than twenty years. Widowed at a young age with four children at home, Marilyn went back to school to obtain a teaching endorsement and eventually took a position at GISH teaching English and Career Explorations. After a few years on the job, she again went back to night school and received a Masters Degree in Counseling to better meet the needs of some students experiencing challenges at home. To honor Marilyn’s memory and her love of students from all walks of life, this scholarship is being offered by her four children—all graduates of Grand Island Senior High—in her name.
