Scholarship Essay Required
As proud Islander Alumni, Barb Engberg and Matt Hilligas are offering a one-year $1000 scholarship to help a GISH student realize his/her dreams of becoming a physical therapist. Barb and Matt co-own and operate Live Well Physical Therapy in Grand Island. Live Well is committed to providing attentive and individualized care in a personal and compassionate environment. They use aquatic and land-based therapies to help their patients regain physical strength and lead an independent, pain-free life.

Eligibility
- Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
- Planning to pursue a degree in the field of Physical Therapy
- Job shadowing experience in a Physical Therapy clinic

Selection Procedure
- Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.
Terms of Payment
- The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.
Claim Scholarship
- The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
