Larry F. Willis and Lonny W. Willis Memorial Scholarship
Larry and Lonny Willis were twin brothers graduating in 1960 from Grand Island High School. The day before he was to leave for college at UNL, Lonny was killed in a farming accident. He would have studied pharmacy at the University. Lonny played varsity football and basketball, was an avid reader, and was the vice-president of the senior class. Larry and his family created this scholarship as a tribute to Lonny. Larry passed away in 2021.
The scholarship is intended for students who work hard and need additional support to pursue their education.
