Jim and Maureen Kahrhoff Scholarship
Jim and Maureen Kahrhoff established this scholarship as an expression of their appreciation for the education received by their family at the Grand Island Public Schools. The Kahrhoff family has long been affiliated with the Grand Island school system with Jim’s mother graduating in 1934, Jim graduating in 1960, and their children James, George, and Nicole carrying on that tradition. The Kahrhoff’s believe in investing in their community through serving and financially assisting students. This scholarship is designed to invest in a student who has demonstrated good work ethic and citizenship.

Eligibility
- Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
- Must have a grade point average between 2.75 and 3.74
- Student needs to demonstrate good work ethic
- Student needs to demonstrate good character and citizenship
- Preference given to students who will attend Nebraska Schools

Selection Procedure
- Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.
Terms of Payment
- The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.
Claim Scholarship
- The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
