Jeremy J. Buckner Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Essay Required
In memory of Jeremy J. Buckner, his family offers a scholarship to a well-rounded student involved in athletics and/or performing arts. Jeremy was an outstanding athlete at Grand Island Senior High. He still holds the school and the prior state record in the 300 intermediate hurdles. Jeremy played the violin from grade school through Senior High and was involved in orchestra.

Eligibility
- Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
- Must enroll in a two or four-year college
- Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Must have been involved in athletics and/or performing arts

Selection Procedure
- Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.
Terms of Payment
- The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.
Claim Scholarship
- The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
