Cohn Family Scholarship
Scholarship Essay Required
Lee and Laurel Cohn have been employed with the Grand Island Public Schools for 45 plus years. Lee worked in the warehouse and Laurel worked as a cashier at Walnut and Barr. Their children, Lynda, Lewis Cody, Lucinda and Lance all attended Jefferson Elementary, Walnut Junior High, and Grand Island Senior High. All four Cohn children continued their education at Nebraska Colleges. The Cohn’s believe that the Grand Island Public Schools have been a part of their family and would like to honor the significance of this relationship by helping GIPS students obtain their goals to further their education.

Eligibility
- Attended Barr or Walnut Middle Schools
- Graduate of Grand Island Senior High
- 2.0 GPA or above
- Participated in the Arts or Athletics programs
- Must pursue a certificate, associate or college degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution or trade school located in the state of Nebraska.
