Brandon Levander Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Essay Required
The family of Brandon Levander offers one scholarship to graduating seniors with a demonstrated interest in the field of Electrical Technology. Brandon was a 1999 graduate of Grand Island Senior High. During his time at GISH, Brandon was on the swim team. After graduation he obtained his general education courses at Central Community College. Brandon attended the Engineering program at the University of Nebraska where he graduated magna cum laude. He went on to work for Telex, Nebraska Public Power District, and Arizona Public Services. Brandon believed in education, and had a strong work ethic. Brandon had a lust for life and was an adventurous soul. He was an avid rock climber and rappeler. He and his family traveled the world. He loved being a part of nature's beauty. Brandon was a kind giving soul who enjoyed every opportunity life had to offer.

Eligibility
- Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
- Must attend Southeast Community College (Milford), Central Community College (Hastings), Metropolitan Community College, or Northeast Community College (Norfolk)
- Must be pursuing a Major in Engineering, Electrical Technology or Utility Line Technician
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

Selection Procedure
- Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.
Terms of Payment
- The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.
Claim Scholarship
- The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
