Scholarships

Grand Island Senior High alumni Dr. Curtis and Lisa Albers offer this scholarship to celebrate and honor high ability students who choose the academically challenging path through Grand Island Senior High. The scholarship is intended for achievers who will go above and beyond what is expected in the classroom and in their activities.

Amount and Terms

• $1,500 x 1 year

Scholarship Eligibility

• Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
• Must be ranked Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude of the graduating class
• Must be involved in school and community activities. Preference given to those in a leadership position in activities

Selection Procedure

• Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.

Terms of Payment

• The scholarship will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.

Claim Scholarship

• The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
