GIPS Foundation Professional Development Grant (2)
Thanks to the generosity of our community during the annual Harvest Event, the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation has created an annual grant fund aimed at empowering our educators, staff and administrators. This fund will support the professional development of both educators and administrative staff in Grand Island Public Schools, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to inspire and excel in their roles.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be accepted into either graduate or undergraduate programs at an accredited public or private Nebraska college or university.
- Applicants will require a written recommendation from their Principal/Supervisor. This recommendation will be part of the application process and will be confidential.
- Applicants must be a GIPS certified teacher, classified staff, administration or counselor
Essay Question
- How will your academic pursuits contribute to your success and effectiveness in your current role or position you aspire to hold next? Essay should be limited to 500 words.

Selection Procedure
Applications will be reviewed by a grant selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.
Terms of Payment
The grant will be paid through the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation to appropriate educational institution per grant eligibility defined above. The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule), student number and GIPS employment verification to the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation for grant distribution.
