Brock Nelson Scholarship
Brock Nelson is a 1986 graduate of Grand Island Senior High. Nelson has a longtime commitment to educational excellence. This scholarship is established for a deserving student who demonstrates exceptional academic achievement and a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) based fields. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, a commitment to pursuing a STEM-related degree, and a desire to make a positive impact through innovation and problem-solving.

Eligibility
- Must be a graduate of Grand Island Senior High
- Must major in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or pursue a teaching degree in the STEM field.
- Must attend an accredited university or college.

Selection Procedure
- Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship selection committee appointed by the Grand Island Public Schools Foundation.
Terms of Payment
- The scholarship will be paid through the GIPS Foundation to the appropriate educational institution per scholarship eligibility defined above. Scholarships larger than $500 will be split into equal semester payments.
Claim Scholarship
- The student must provide proof of enrollment (class schedule) and student ID number to the GIPS Foundation for scholarship distribution. Proof of enrollment is needed for each semester covered by scholarship terms.
