$5,000 Grant Potential
We have increased our investment potential from $2,500 to $5,000, ensuring our teachers have the resources to bring their most creative ideas to life. Please note a minimum grant request of $3,000 is required for this program.

Will there be a grant round in the second semester?
No, the Innovation Tank operates on a single annual cycle. This ensures finalists have time for Pitch Prep and allows winners to implement their projects during the current school year. The application window runs from May through September, with awards following the October pitch event.

The GIPS Foundation seeks to fund projects that drive meaningful progress toward our district's mission. Successful proposals will demonstrate a clear connection to our shared objectives for student success.
Before submitting your application, please review the GIPS Strategic Plan.In your proposal, you should explicitly describe how your project aligns with these goals—such as increasing student growth, improving attendance, or preparing students for post-secondary readiness—to show the Sharks the long-term impact of your idea.
The GIPS Foundation awards annual Innovation Tank grants to fund educational opportunities for students that fall outside the school district's general budget.
Janeth Davis Memorial Fund

The family of Janeth Davis offers this fund to honor her memory and invest in the students of Grand Island Public Schools. Mrs. Davis was a middle school teacher, teaching both English and Spanish. She loved her students and was a fierce advocate for their education and opportunities.
