Dear Community Partner,

The Grand Island Senior High School Show Choirs are excited to begin rehearsals for the 2026–27 competition season. While audiences see polished performances on stage, the most meaningful growth happens behind the scenes—during long rehearsals, choreography camps, and countless hours of teamwork.

Our show choir program teaches students far more than singing, dancing, and performing. It builds character, confidence, and lifelong skills. For many students, show choir becomes a place where they belong, where they discover their potential, and where they develop into the kind of leaders and community members we all hope they will become.

When asked what they have gained from the program, our students shared:

Personal accountability. Communication. Adaptability. Discipline. Teamwork. Patience. Perseverance. Diligence. Integrity. Time management. Organization. Grit. Leadership. Problem-solving. Openness to new experiences. Being fully present. Learning from mistakes. Compromise. Community. And, of course, singing, dancing, and performing.

"Our choirs serve as ambassadors for Grand Island—not only through music, but by developing young people into productive, compassionate adults," says Choir Director Jesse LaBrie. Assistant Choir Director Abbie Bloom adds that the program gives students a genuine sense of belonging, purpose, and pride.

This season, our program includes:

  • Ultimate Choir (Varsity): 56 members
  • Future Image (Junior Varsity): 50 members
  • Sweet Revelation (Women's Choir): 48 members

These ensembles are accompanied by our talented student show band, creating opportunities for more than 150 students to learn, perform, and grow together.

We recognize that you have many worthy organizations to support, and we sincerely appreciate your consideration. Your generosity directly impacts our students by helping provide opportunities they might not otherwise have. Donations help fund travel, costumes, choreography, music, competition expenses, and other essential program needs that make this experience possible.

By investing in the Grand Island Senior High School Show Choirs, you are investing in the next generation of leaders, teammates, performers, and engaged community members.
