Grand Island Concert Association - Brett Peters Memorial Music Scholarship
Brett had such a love for music. In high school, he was involved in choir, show choir, musicals and band. He could light up any stage. After high school, Brett attended UNK as a music education major. Even though his career path changed, music remained a constant in his life. Brett's dream was to become a famous singer. He auditioned for both The Voice and America's Got Talent. Sadly, he wasn't accepted for either show, but that did not deter his love of music and performing. Brett was always singing in his car. He loved being asked to sing for friends' weddings. Brett was best known for his show-stopping Karaoke performances. Brett's family hopes that with this scholarship, his passion and love for music will shine on in future generations.
