Werner Challenge

$5,000 Matching Gift

Tom and Lynne Werner have deep and multigenerational roots in Grand Island Public Schools and are proud to support the GIPS Foundation.

Tom graduated from Grand Island Senior High School and now serves as a family physician at the Case New Holland Employer’s Health Care Clinic. Lynne is an attorney at Equitable Bank and previously served as a member of the GIPS Board of Education and the GIPS Foundation Board.

Education has always been central to the Werner family. Tom’s mother, Alice Werner, devoted more than 40 years to teaching at area elementary schools, impacting countless students and families.

As parents, Tom and Lynne are grateful for the strong foundation their children received through GIPS. Their children, Adam Werner (Class of 2011) and Jane Werner Hagan (Class of 2014), are both proud graduates of Grand Island Public Schools.

“Teacher’s shape lives every single day. Our family has seen firsthand the dedication, care, and commitment GIPS educators bring to their classrooms. Supporting them means investing in the future of our entire community.”

To honor and appreciate the incredible work of GIPS teachers and staff, the Werner family is pleased to pledge $5,000 as a challenge gift, matching all new or increased donations, dollar-for-dollar.

Together, we can celebrate and support the educators who make a difference every day.

- Tom and Lynne Werner
