Hello! Our names are Lauren Anderson and Katie Lofing and we attend Grand Island Senior High.
At Senior High we are involved in National Honor Society, where every year we do individual service projects. This year our service project is a back to school drive for elementary schoolers at Shoemaker Elementary in Grand Island Nebraska.
Recognizing that the brain undergoes significant development before the age of nine, we understand the pivotal role of elementary education in shaping future success. We firmly believe that providing appropriate school supplies to all children is essential. These supplies not only foster a sense of belonging but also establish a foundation for optimal learning outcomes.
Shoemaker Elementary, uniquely positioned as a non-Title I school within Grand Island, faces the challenge of limited federal funding to support students in meeting Nebraska's academic standards. Our project aims to alleviate the financial strain on teachers and parents, ensuring that all children have access to essential school supplies, regardless of their economic circumstances.
Donate now to help.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal of $1,800 and helping to provide back to school supplies for students at Shoemaker Elementary. With your donation we can make an impact!
